Lorena Canals Washable Rug Review

If you know me you know I love me a rug. My kids room was incomplete as I had been searching for the perfect rug for the longest time. It’s so hard to find a rug that is good for a kids room, that is the right size, and texture for their toys and also one that will not move all the time or misshape.

I received a free rug from Lorena Canals in return for my honest review. All thoughts and opinion are my own and not influenced by Lorena 🙂

For 25 years Lorena Canals, designer and founder, has been focused on the design, manufacturing and commercialization of products for decorating children’s rooms. 12 years ago she decided to specialize on children rugs, all the essentials to enjoy elegant and cozy spaces with all requirements a mother needs for their kids.

When Lorena approached us to work together I was over the moon! I had read a number of kids rooms blog posts about them and hoped I could get something like it. We were given the choice of rug so we picked one that matched the children’s room (grey, teal and yellow). We chose the Aztec Natural Vintage Blue 4’8″ x 6’7″. The rug is super light, despite its large size. So it won’t be difficult to move around or adjust etc. It has gorgeous detailing on the edges with teal poms which I loved and they make it easier to move the carpet around.

The rug is machine-washable and fits into a standard washer and dryer! That was a huge win for us, because with toddlers, as you probably already know that means stains galore.

About the Rug

The rugs are made in India and designed in Spain which reflects their beautiful collection. They are also made of all natural dyes and contain no VOCs like most carpeting and rugs. In addition to washable rugs, Lorena Canal also carries washable cushions, baskets, and blankets that complement their rug designs very well.

Social Mission

The best part of Lorena is their social mission. All their proceeds support the Sakula project, which provides schooling for children in India. They believe that education is the key to mobility and vital in breaking the poverty cycle. So we as customers not only help children to get an education but also the opportunity to live a better life.

washable rugs last longer to use and when kids play on them, it obviously will become dirty. So nice to give rugs a pure wash to make them look nice and new.

I LOVE the look of this rug! Wish this review was more of an actual review and less of an advertisement for the company. The only useful info was that the rug is lightweight, but doesn’t give any indication of thickness, durability, shedding, etc…you know – the stuff most people want to know before buying a rug. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It was an actual review. It is not a very thick rug and I haven’t used it long enough to know how durable it is and whether there would be shedding. So far there is no shedding and has lasted 4 months as if it was new. Hope that helps!
